What is a Birth Doula?
Many people associate doulas with labor support, but that’s just one piece of doula care. A doula is a certified professional who provides physical and emotional support to you and your partner during the various stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. They also help you learn to better care for yourself. Doulas support the whole family by preparing meals, and performing light housework like dishes and laundry, allowing you the freedom to focus on what matters most, your newborn family member. When you hire a doula, you’re investing in your whole family’s well-being.

Becoming a parent, whether it’s the first or the fifth time, is never easy. People are meant to go through the trying months of pregnancy, labor and postpartum with the utmost care and support.
Free Consultation: Consultation services that suite your lifestyle. They can be done in person, virtually, or over the phone.
Prenatal Guidance: Pregnancy can be uncomfortable and come with a lot of questions. I work with you to ease your discomfort through various techniques and assist in putting together a plan for birthing and postpartum.
Labor Support: Let’s face it, labor is scary. As your trained doula, I do not leave your side. I offer coping mechanisms to support you physically and emotionally.
Postpartum Care: Postpartum care is just as important for the parents as it is the newborn baby. I help you establish a routine, process the birthing experience, and assist with light chores.
Hi, I’m Jill
I am a certified Birth Doula serving Lancaster County and surrounding areas. I am a wife and a stay at home mama to my three beautiful children. I birthed my first baby in the hospital and my second and third babies were born at home.
I have years of experience working in a hospital setting taking care of patients, while recognizing how important it is to create a space where they feel heard and safe during some of the most vulnerable times.
Ever since I was a young girl myself, I have had immense respect and passion for birth work. It wasn’t until I hired my own doula and birthed my daughter that I knew this was my calling. Having unconditional support navigating pregnancy, labor and postpartum is invaluable.
My goal as your doula is to support you and any choices you make to my absolute fullest. Whether it is a natural, medicated or a cesarean, birth in all forms is raw, and can be unpredictable. I want to help nurture your experience through this transition.
